Homework:

Complete the lab sheets for the ice cube lab. No new blogging assignment. You should have blog entries for Pop Quiz and Anatosaurs completed.

Every Friday I will collect the blogs for the week. In the beginning I prefer they be printed so I can make corrections on them and give student feedback for editing purposes.

In Class:
Math: Today we finished an exit task for patterns. We also did a review of number facts in preparation for our Prime Time unit.

Language Arts: We worked on editing some of our responses to literature (blogs) concentrating on writing lead sentences and supporting ideas with evidence from the text. Students also did some independent reading in the Revealers. (Chapter: Experiment) Great tie in to our science.

Science: We did a lab rotation today. Your students worked on a lab with Ms. Minkler regarding predicting number of drops of water on a penny. They will need to complete their lab sheet by Friday. We will have a test on the scientific method on Friday. Then we will begin our egg drop project in we will apply the skills we learned while studying the scientific method to designing our own egg crates. .

Social Studies: Students began working on distance and scale.
